Suffolk Wildlife Trust Partnership
We are excited to announce our new role as a Nature Guardian with Suffolk Wildlife Trust, twinned with Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve.
As a Nature Guardian, we are committed to supporting the protection of the environment, restoring and safeguarding natural habitats, and building a more climate-resilient Suffolk.
Through this partnership, we are helping the Trust maintain its nature reserves across the county while also contributing to vital community education and engagement that inspires people to connect with and care for the natural world.

TYHA Clean Marina Accreditation at Racecourse Marina Windsor
Racecourse Marina Windsor has officially become the first marina on the River Thames to earn the TYHA Clean Marina accreditation.
The TYHA Clean Marina initiative is all about encouraging marinas to operate in ways that protect our waterways, wildlife, and environment. Racecourse Marina’s certification is a significant step forward in Tingdene’s broader sustainability goals, and it’s only the beginning. Plans are already in motion to build on this success across our network.

Upton Lake Water Testing
At Upton Lake, Tingdene Group supports residents in monitoring water quality by providing testing kits and working with Earthwatch Europe’s Freshwater Watch Toolkit.
Residents carry out monthly tests using recognised scientific methods, with results shared to help track the health of the lake and contribute to a wider global knowledge base. To date, results have been excellent, and we remain committed to ongoing monitoring to ensure the lake stays in good condition for everyone to enjoy.

Humberston Fitties No Mow Zone
Tingdene Group launched an environmental initiative at Humberstone Fitties in 2024 with the creation of a dedicated ‘No Mow Zone’ to support biodiversity.
The area, maintained with seasonal cuts and enhanced with wildflower planting, provides a lasting habitat for local wildlife.
To involve the community, leaseholders took part in a competition to design the signage, with the winning design now proudly displayed on-site.

Caldecott Hall Wildlife Area
Tingdene Group created a dedicated wildlife area to provide habitats for badgers, hedgehogs, birds, bats, and insects, while giving visitors the chance to observe nature in a protected space. The chosen site already had established trees, water, and vegetation, requiring only minimal adjustments to enhance it without disturbance. As part of our ecology planning, we also installed bat boxes, bird boxes, and a hedgehog dome at Foxburrow Hang.
In addition, in July 2021, a beekeeper safely relocated a large swarm of bees from one of the barns to a more suitable habitat.
